OUR STORY
Tipico Helado is a small business founded in 2017 by Chuy, a hardworking and passionate entrepreneur. Chuy's journey in the ice cream industry began at the young age of 10, when he started working in a paleteria in Mexico. He worked his way up, learning the ins and outs of making ice cream cones, paletas, and other frozen treats.

In 2017, Chuy started making and selling ice waffle cones from his apartment and sold them to Michoacana. He worked two jobs to save up enough money to buy his first ice cream machine. Once the machine arrived from Mexico, he started making and selling his first flavors of ice cream, limon and mango, and his first flavors of paletas, limon con frutas, kiwi & strawberry.

Chuy's passion and dedication to his craft paid off, as he started offering his ice cream to local ice cream shops and businesses. He faced some rejections, but his perseverance paid off, and he became known in the community. He started posting on local Facebook groups, selling paletas, ice cream, and aguas frescas, and people started to love his product.
As his business grew in popularity, Chuy had to expand by putting a small stand out in front of his apartment building, where he hired his first employee to run the stand while he made deliveries. Eventually, the business continued to thrive, and Chuy opened his first store front building in March 2020 after a year of hard work of remodeling and preparing the paleteria.

Tipico Helado's logo symbolizes Chuy's first flavors of paletas, limon con frutas, kiwi & strawberry, and the business has become known for its delicious and unique flavors. Chuy's entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creating high-quality frozen treats have made Tipico Helado a beloved local business.
